This Little Bird

Written by John D. Loudermilk and a hit in 1965 for Marianne Faithful. It was sung to Jewel, when she was a child, as a lullaby by her mother, Lenedra Carroll. For some reason it was added as the 'hidden track' on Spirit (duet with Lenedra Carroll), but unfortunately does not remain hidden for long, approach with caution.

Jewel says:

This was the hardest song to record. I hated doing it. But then again, I felt the same way when I recorded "You Were Meant For Me," so I'm not always the best judge. (This Way liner notes)
